Villa 18 is located on Wuding Road in Shanghai. Once called Kinnear road this is a main road in jing’‘an district, the heart of the city.
For this project we renovated both the architecture and interiors. We were interested in connecting the villa with its context, the school roof just behind it, the small adjacent private park, the neighborhood and the open sky.
Villa 34 is a renovation project in Shanghai that reimagines the property with an elegant fusion of italian and chinese elements. The client approached us to renovate both the architecture and interior design of the property.
Spanning three floors with an inviting garden, the villa was transformed to elevate both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Central to the redesign is the addition of a lift and the creation of a double-height lounge that bathes the space in natural light, creating an airy and open ambiance. A modern, sophisticated kitchen was installed to complement the new flow of the home, while the master bedroom now boasts an expansive, custom-designed walk-in wardrobe for refined convenience.
A true highlight of Villa 34 is the unique, artistically crafted marble staircase that anchors the space with its sculptural beauty. A custom-made bar was tailored to showcase the client’s personal wine collection, combining luxury with personalized details. Throughout the interiors, carefully selected Italian furniture imbues the home with timeless style, while art pieces, curated in collaboration with the client, add a personal and cultural dimension. Villa 34 seamlessly integrates comfort, artistry, and functionality to create a warm minimalism living experience.
Villa 36 in Shanghai focuses on tactile experiences and material memories.
When we started to work on the project we decided to look back at our memories of childhood and the importance design had during that period of our life.
We were particularly interested in “material memories”, textures and sounds which we still remember from our bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms. Everyone has a clear bond with some details of their houses, we wanted to work on memorable spaces and details throughout the project.
This concept design was generated utilizing AI tools as part of a broader series of projects aimed at envisioning innovative spaces that reconnect us with China's breathtaking natural landscapes.

The Garden Club in Beijing makes use of locally sourced materials such as traditional roof tiles and local timber to create a unique atmosphere in the center of the capital.
A large traditional tea showroom is combined with dining and meeting areas. The existing outdoor garden is inspired by traditional Chinese garden features.
