Villa 34 is a renovation project in Shanghai that reimagines the property with an elegant fusion of italian and chinese elements. The client approached us to renovate both the architecture and interior design of the property.
Spanning three floors with an inviting garden, the villa was transformed to elevate both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Central to the redesign is the addition of a lift and the creation of a double-height lounge that bathes the space in natural light, creating an airy and open ambiance. A modern, sophisticated kitchen was installed to complement the new flow of the home, while the master bedroom now boasts an expansive, custom-designed walk-in wardrobe for refined convenience.
A true highlight of Villa 34 is the unique, artistically crafted marble staircase that anchors the space with its sculptural beauty. A custom-made bar was tailored to showcase the client’s personal wine collection, combining luxury with personalized details. Throughout the interiors, carefully selected Italian furniture imbues the home with timeless style, while art pieces, curated in collaboration with the client, add a personal and cultural dimension. Villa 34 seamlessly integrates comfort, artistry, and functionality to create a warm minimalism living experience.
Villa 36 in Shanghai focuses on tactile experiences and material memories.
When we started to work on the project we decided to look back at our memories of childhood and the importance design had during that period of our life.
We were particularly interested in “material memories”, textures and sounds which we still remember from our bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms. Everyone has a clear bond with some details of their houses, we wanted to work on memorable spaces and details throughout the project.
Villa 18 is located on Wuding Road in Shanghai. Once called Kinnear road this is a main road in jing’‘an district, the heart of the city.
For this project we renovated both the architecture and interiors. We were interested in connecting the villa with its context, the school roof just behind it, the small adjacent private park, the neighborhood and the open sky.
This concept design was generated utilizing AI tools as part of a broader series of projects aimed at envisioning innovative spaces that reconnect us with China's breathtaking natural landscapes.

V10 design for Dal Cuore in Xintiandi is a celebration of craftsmanship.
The project is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Shanghai and it serves customers with a “hole in the wall” concept.
We wanted this location to be extraordinary, to respect its context and most importantly the value of Dal Cuore brand.
3000 handmade gelato textures create the backdrop for the shop which is arranged along a compact linear layout.
The bar counter in flipped bricks and the handmade wall installation are the key elements of the shop elevation. Their sophisticated textures are to be discovered further as people approach the shop and choose their favorite gelato. Each piece is unique like every scoop that is served here.
Lighting and graphics are also crucial in this project. The logo signs in the back-lit mirror reflect the beauty of Shanghai and the long linear light tube marks the presence of the shop in the evening.
At V10 we strive to innovate through craftsmanship and materials, we loved the collaboration with Dal Cuore who is also famous for gelato flavors innovations.
The Garden Club in Beijing makes use of locally sourced materials such as traditional roof tiles and local timber to create a unique atmosphere in the center of the capital.
A large traditional tea showroom is combined with dining and meeting areas. The existing outdoor garden is inspired by traditional Chinese garden features.
Villa 29 in Shanghai is a renovation project on Huaihai Road. The key intervention to the existing building are a new landscape, facade and interior layout. A custom made library and table are also designed for this project.
Designed in collaboration with Fashion Brand Consultant Nico Hofmann and his client Olymp the Showroom for Berlin Fashion Week is located in a converted railway station, Berlin Dresdner Bahnhof. The project is the backdrop for the launch of the 2020 spring collection by renowned fashion brand Olymp.
V10 captures microplastics inside a chronological array of glass slides displaying the increase of plastic pollution in the last 50 years.
“Plastic is beautiful” aims to promote a more caring approach towards materials and wastage.
Plastic has brought innovation in medicine, science and design. It’s the misuse and waste of plastic that is endangering our ecosystems and particularly our waters. Microplastics are extremely small pieces of plastic debris resulting from the disposal and breakdown of plastics. Today most of the plastic pollution in the oceans is in fact microplastic.
